Yes. Bamboo viscose is soft, breathable, and thermoregulating, which makes it well suited to infant sleepwear, and it’s naturally smooth against sensitive skin. Because we run our own ethical manufacturing facility, we control the fabric sourcing and finishing directly rather than buying finished goods from a middleman, so we know what’s in every garment we ship.

Bamboo is silkier, stretchier, and better at regulating temperature, which makes it the stronger choice for sleepwear and for babies who run warm or have sensitive skin. Organic cotton is more structured, more durable through repeated washing, and holds its shape better, which suits daytime pieces and layering. We make both, so the honest answer is that it depends on what the garment is for.

Bamboo viscose has a smoother fiber surface than most cotton, so there's less friction against skin, and it wicks moisture and regulates temperature well — which helps with the overheating that aggravates a lot of infant skin irritation. It's a common recommendation for babies who react to rougher fabrics. If your baby has a diagnosed skin condition, check with your pediatrician about what's appropriate.

Yes — viscose and rayon are the same fiber, and bamboo viscose is the standard term for fabric made from bamboo pulp. What matters for a baby garment isn't the name on the label but how carefully the fabric is processed and finished, which is the part we control in our own factory.

Minimally, if you wash cold and tumble dry low. Heat is what shrinks bamboo, so skip hot washes and high-heat drying. Our sizing accounts for normal wash behavior, so order your baby's current size rather than sizing up to compensate.

Yes. Our bamboo fabric is certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, Product Class I, the strictest tier, made for babies up to age 3. Certificates SH015 289666 (knitting and dyeing mill) and SH050 128475 (printing and finishing), issued by TESTEX AG. Verify at oeko-tex.com/en/label-check.

The certificates cover the fabric, not the finished garment. Every garment is also inspected three times: at our own factory, by an independent testing company before shipment, and again when we pack your order.

Yes — high contrast is essentially all a newborn can see clearly. Newborn vision is blurry and largely colorblind for the first weeks, so bold black-and-white and strongly contrasting patterns register when pastels don't. That's why high contrast imagery is a standard recommendation for early visual stimulation.

Color vision develops gradually over the first months, with babies typically distinguishing bolder colors like red before subtler pastel differences. High contrast patterns remain the most visually engaging option through the early newborn period, which is the window our High Contrast Collection is designed for.

They give a newborn something their eyes can actually resolve during the period when most of their visual field is a blur. High contrast is widely recommended for early visual stimulation, and clothing is simply a way to put it where the baby is already looking — including on the person holding them.

Our sizes run 0-3M through 24-36M depending on the style, with some pieces offered in an extended 0-36M range.

Usually not — you don't need to. Our convertible rompers and onesies already carry extra room through the seat and extra length in the body, so ordering your baby's current size gets you the growing room without excess fabric anywhere it doesn't belong. Footies are the exception: they should fit close, because footie length runs out before width does and bunched fabric around the feet isn't comfortable.

The feet should have room for the toes to lie flat without extra fabric bunching at the ends, and the zipper should close without pulling across the chest. If your baby's feet are pressed against the end of the foot, move up a size — footie length runs out before width does.

Mostly, with one deliberate exception: our convertible rompers and onesies are cut with more room through the seat and more length in the body than a standard size chart would give you. That's a design decision, not a sizing error. We talked to a lot of parents while developing them, and two things came up constantly — a diaper needs room to sit properly, and babies gain length faster than parents budget for. So the room is engineered where it's useful and left out where it isn't. Order your baby's current size; the growing room is already built in.

Most newborns start in 0-3M, but babies born above roughly 8 pounds often skip straight past it. If you're buying before birth and don't know the size, 3-6M is the safer bet — it gets worn either way, where 0-3M can be outgrown before it's opened.

Zippers, for anything you'll be dealing with at 3am. A two-way zipper opens from the bottom for a diaper change without undressing the whole baby, where snaps mean lining up a dozen fasteners in the dark. Snaps have the edge only for newborn kimono styles, where side-snap opening avoids pulling anything over the head.

Plan on six to eight. Newborns go through two to three outfit changes a day between diaper leaks and spit-up, and you don't want laundry frequency dictated by a thin sleepwear rotation. Most parents underbuy sleepwear and overbuy daytime outfits.

Dress your baby in one more layer than you'd be comfortable in at the same room temperature — typically a footie or romper, with a sleep sack over it if the room is cool. Loose blankets aren't recommended for infants. Follow current AAP safe sleep guidance for anything involving the sleep environment itself.

Footies, for infants — they stay put, keep feet covered without socks, and there's nothing to ride up. 2-piece sets become more practical once your baby is a mobile toddler and you're dealing with potty training or a child who wants to dress themselves.

A knotted gown is an open-bottom gown that ties at the base instead of closing around the legs, which means a diaper change without unfastening anything. It's most useful in the first weeks, when change frequency is highest, and it's a common choice for hospital and coming-home outfits because it photographs well and is easy to get on and off a newborn.

Wash cold on a gentle cycle, inside out, and tumble dry low. Turning garments inside out protects the prints from abrasion in the drum, which is what fades patterns before the fabric itself wears out. Skip fabric softener — it coats bamboo fibers and strips out the softness and absorbency you paid for. Full care instructions are on the label of every garment.

Yes, wash everything before it touches a newborn, using a fragrance-free detergent. This isn't specific to us — it's standard practice for any new garment.

Not with cold washing, no bleach, and washing inside out. Our prints are set to hold up through repeated washing, which is what baby clothes get more of than any other garment in the house. Hot water, bleach, and print-side abrasion in the dryer are what break patterns down.

Sleepwear in a size past newborn. Registries skew heavily toward 0-3M and gear, so most parents end up short on 3-6M and 6-12M basics right when they need them. A gift box of footies in a larger size is the thing nobody else buys.

1. Return the item for store credit within 20 days of fulfillment.

Once we confirm it’s a manufacturing defect or was damaged in transit, we’ll send a replacement in the same style and size at no cost — or refund you in full if it’s no longer available. We may ask you to send the original back using a prepaid label we provide.

This covers faults present when your order arrived. Damage from wear, washing, or accidents isn’t included, so please look everything over before the first wash.
